On October 30, 2023, the 10th China IoT Conference and 8th China IoT Innovation Award ceremony jointly organized by the globally renowned electronic technology media "Electronics enthusiasts" and the South China Electronics Exhibition in Munich came to a successful conclusion in Shenzhen. Gutai Micro Broadband High Precision Low Mismatch Amplifier GAP328X won the "IoT Product of the Year Award".

 GAP328X is a high-precision, broadband, rail to rail input and output amplifier. The amplifier adopts an auto zero architecture to eliminate input voltage drift and achieve a bandwidth of nearly 20MHz, which is much more cost-effective than similar products. The GAP328X has a low-frequency open-loop gain of up to 130dB, which can maintain stable frequency response regardless of how the closed-loop gain changes. In addition, the input noise voltage of the amplifier is only 35nV/√ Hz, and the input noise current is only 1.5fA/√ Hz, ensuring the clarity and accuracy of the signal. 

The GAP328X can operate on a single or dual power supply, with input common mode ranging from negative rail to positive rail, output swing reaching between negative rail and positive rail, and output and input reaching any level between power rails without the need for additional bias circuits. 


Design features: 

1. Mismatch elimination architecture: The new auto zero architecture is a technical solution that utilizes switch capacitors and multiphase clocks to achieve automatic calibration, which can effectively eliminate input voltage drift and improve the accuracy and stability of the amplifier. This technology can also reduce the noise of the amplifier.

 2. High speed: High speed is a technical solution that enables amplifiers to amplify and output signals in a short period of time without waiting or delaying. High speed can improve the response speed and efficiency of amplifiers. The GAP328X has a high swing rate and adopts a polyphase overlapping clock, which eliminates interference during clock interaction in the amplifier, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of signal processing. 

3. Broadband width: Broadband width is a technical solution that enables amplifiers to maintain good amplification performance in the high-frequency range without sacrificing gain or noise. Broadband can improve the signal processing ability and speed of amplifiers. On the premise of maintaining ultra-low mismatch and low noise, the GAP328X achieves a unit gain bandwidth of nearly 20 MHz, which is much more cost-effective than similar products.


 Application advantages: 

1. High precision: GAP328X can adjust its gain through external closed-loop to meet the amplification needs of different scenarios, making it very suitable for applications that require high precision such as temperature sensors, pressure sensors, weighing sensors, strain gauge amplifiers, etc. 

2. Broadband width: The GAP328X adopts a new auto zero architecture, eliminating input bias voltage and drift, achieving a bandwidth of nearly 20MHz, far higher than similar products. This feature makes GAP328X very suitable for applications that require broadband, such as medical/industrial instruments, active filtering, etc. 

3. Rail to rail input and output: The input common mode range of GAP328X includes negative rail and positive rail, and the output swing can reach between negative rail and positive rail. Moreover, GAP328X can operate under single or dual power sources without the need for additional bias circuits. These characteristics make GAP328X very suitable for applications such as battery powered instruments, power converters/inverters that require rail to rail input and output.
